the kickoff of summer 2009

first, a gratuitous list of shows i've watched, movies i've seen, and books i've read: scrubs, 30 rock, norwegian wood, fate/stay night, life of pi, up.

during the early summer i've hung out with anandh, robert, and albert, playing brawl and bringing back spades, which is something of a nightly ritual currently. it's been too long. seen steff a few times in the evening and went with her et al to see up and eat at bertucci's.

haven't been doing much work at boston university. it's goddamn cold in a lab, and the commute's lengthy and costly. as a result of the duration, though, i've managed to complete the life of pi and norwegian wood in ten days' time. next up is master and margarita. i haven't read any books at all in an incredibly long time, and both of the ones i've read so far have been very easy to follow. fearing and somewhat relishing that the upcoming one will be more difficult.

spring grades:

-public finance S

i passed public finance with the highest marks of the class but neglected to take it for a grade, so it gave me no gpa benefits. as is, my gpa would have been above a 4.0 if i'd taken it for a grade, but it's chilling at 3.99. i'll take that.

cooking tofu and green peppers has also been relevant, i suppose. i've taken to chores not only out of necessity but as a way to tide my parents over and hold their disappointment at bay while i live at home and make no money.
