went with the girlfriend to mit today to watch the fireworks with the music streaming from the boston pops. the music was almost as glorious as watching it on tv. the fireworks were spectacular, long-lasting, and smoky. the grass was uncomfortable, cold, and damp. had to stand around and wait, too.
it was a good, romantic date overall, until we ran into some people from ab's class of '06. man, for all i miss high school, those were some faces of which i was glad to be rid. and then came the wait to get into the subway.
sue zhang's dad drove us home. the guy is hilarious and both irritates and scares me. he's not exactly a scary asian parent, but his irritability while driving gives the impression of constantly impending doom.
feeling mellow. maybe i'll play some snes roms.
